This lab walks you through GCP Cloud NAT.
Duration: 60 minutes
Cloud NAT allows the instances to communicate with the internet without having an external IP address. It provides private connectivity for VM Instances, GKE, Cloud Run, App Engine, Cloud Functions
Cloud NAT is not a device, it is a distributed software that is configured on a Cloud Router.
It is more secure in cases when your VMs need internet connectivity only for updates.
A VM can communicate with the internet with either external IP or Cloud NAT.
Don't be confused with Private Google Access which is used when your VM Instance doesn't have external IP and you need to access Google APIs
