This lab walks we will walk through the steps to configure a new Azure IoT Hub and then authenticate a connection to an IoT device using the online Raspberry Pi device simulator. Sensor data and messages are passed from the Raspberry Pi simulator to your Azure IoT Hub, and you view metrics for the messaging activity in Azure Portal.
Duration: 60 minutes
IoT Hub is a managed service hosted in the cloud that acts as a central message hub for communications in both directions between an IoT application and its attached devices.
It allows you to connect millions of devices and their backend solutions reliably and securely. Almost any device can be connected to an IoT Hub.
Azure IoT Hub supports several messaging patterns, including device-to-cloud telemetry, uploading files from devices, and request-reply methods to control your devices from the cloud.
It also supports monitoring to help you track creating devices, connecting devices, and device failures.
